Hydrometeorological hazards refer to events coming from the atmospheric, hydrological, and oceanographic aspects of nature that pose a threat to human life, properties, and social and economic aspects of society. Typhoons, Hailstorms, Flash Floods, and Heat Waves are examples of hydrometeorological hazards. They can injure or take the lives of both humans and animals; destroy property that may lead to a communities loss of livelihood, and can have an overall heavy impact on the social and economic aspect of society.
